Elan Amir
President and CEO
Dr. Elan Amir brings to Bivio broad technology and leadership experience in the networking industry. Dr. Amir joined Bivio Networks in 2003 as CTO and assumed the present CEO position in 2004. Prior to joining Bivio Networks, he served as CTO for OmniSky Corporation, one of the pioneers in the wireless data application, software, and services sectors. Dr. Amir oversaw all aspects of the company’s technology development, its direction and strategy, intellectual property development, and merger and acquisition due diligence.
Prior to OmniSky, Dr. Amir was CTO and vice president of engineering at ProxiNet, one of the first developers of web browsing solutions for mobile devices. ProxiNet was acquired by Puma Technology (now Intellisync corporation) in 1999. Before ProxiNet, Dr. Amir co-founded FastForward Networks, a developer of broadcast media distribution software. FastForward Networks was acquired by Inktomi Corporation in August 2000.
Dr. Amir received his PhD and MS in computer science and a BS in electrical engineering and computer science from the University of California, Berkeley.
Keith Glover
Chief Financial Officer
Keith Glover has over 25 years of business and financial experience in the telecommunications, networking, and wireless industries. Glover is responsible for all aspects of finance, operations, and administration management for the company.
Prior to joining Bivio, Glover served as the executive vice president of finance, CFO, and corporate secretary for Proxim Corporation, a leading developer of wireless products and technologies. He led the process to complete Proxim’s IPO; in addition, he led the secondary public offering, several private placement financings, and merger and acquisition activities. Glover has also served as vice president of finance for Vitalink Communications Corporation and previously held finance positions at ROLM Corporation and KPMG.
Glover holds a BS in business administration and accounting from California State Polytechnic University Pomona.
Andy Lovit
Vice President of Worldwide Field Operations
Andy Lovit brings 25 years of sales leadership experience to Bivio Networks. He is responsible for worldwide sales, systems engineering and customer support.
Prior to Bivio, Lovit was Vice President of Worldwide Sales at AirTight Networks. He was also Senior Vice President, Service Provider Sales for Tandberg Television, which was acquired by the Ericsson Group. Prior to Tandberg Television, Lovit was Vice President, Worldwide Sales and Field Operations for SkyStream Networks where he successfully grew SkyStream’s revenue and customer base, which resulted in SkyStream being acquired by Tandberg Television. He also served as Vice President of Sales at Paradyne Corporation where he was instrumental in taking the company through its initial public offering. Lovit has also held executive sales management positions at Onetta, Mayan Networks, and 3Com.
Lovit holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from The Ohio State University.
Alex Kleyman
Vice President of Hardware Engineering
Alex Kleyman has over 20 years of experience developing systems for networking applications with large and emerging networking and systems companies. As Bivio Network’s Vice President of Hardware Engineering, Kleyman has served as the central architect and main engineering force behind Bivio’s technologies, including the first Bivio 1000. Since then, Kleyman has led Bivio through three generations of product development including the most recent introduction of the Bivio 7000, Bivio’s 10 Gbps solution.
Prior to Bivio, Kleyman led engineering efforts at Livingston Enterprises, now a division of Alcatel-Lucent, which provides remote access servers, routers, and solutions for ISPs and enterprise networks worldwide. Kleyman also has held lead engineering positions with Cayman Systems, Texas Instruments, Lightstream (acquired by Cisco), UB Networks (acquired by Alcatel-Lucent), and Cabletron Systems.
Kleyman holds a BSEE from the University of Rhode Island and an MBA from Southern New Hampshire University. He has enjoyed speaking to and educating diverse audiences about data networking technologies at various events, including RSA Conferences and Freescale Technology Forums.
Raj Srinivasan
Vice President of Software Engineering
Raj Srinivasan has over 15 years of experience as a lead software architect with some of the world’s most prominent networking and systems companies.
Before joining Bivio, Srinivasan was a senior manager at Nokia, where he was responsible for Linux and IP Routing projects. He led the initiative to establish Linux as the primary platform within Nokia, along with others. Previously, Srinivasan held software management positions at Lucent, where he was involved in the deployment of access router equipment at major carriers in many countries. Srinivasan also spent several years at Sun Microsystems, where he played an instrumental role in several networking projects involving proprietary and standards-based networks and network management systems.
Srinivasan holds an MS in computer science from Syracuse University and an ME in electrical engineering from the Indian Institute of Science.
Bob Wiest
Vice President of Technical Services
Bob Wiest, a 17 year veteran of the high tech industry, is the Vice President of Technical Services at Bivio. He is responsible for running the sales, solutions, and support engineering teams. Before joining Bivio Networks, Bob got his start at Hewlett-Packard, and also worked for Cisco Systems. He has been with the company for 9 years, and has been instrumental in developing the broader market for Deep Packet Inspection products and solutions.
Bob holds a Bachelor of Science degree (Electrical Engineering, with a Minor in Physics) and a Master in Business Administration (Marketing) from California State University, Sacramento. He also holds a Master of Science degree (Electrical Engineering) from the University of California, Davis.
