Bivio Networks to Showcase Data Retention System for Cyber Investigative Operations at West 2011
Data Retention System captures and generates actionable intelligence from network data to lawfully intercept criminal activity and cyber threats
January 24, 2011, Pleasanton, Calif. — Bivio Networks, a leading provider of network systems for securing, monitoring and controlling critical network infrastructures, will exhibit at the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA) and U.S. Naval Institute Western Conference and Exposition (West 2011) from January 25 to 27 at the San Diego Convention Center. The company will spotlight its recently launched Data Retention System (DRS), a high-performance data collection and retention system that enables government authorities to strengthen national and cyber security operations through real-time data collection and correlation.
At West 2011, Bivio Networks will present a virtual demonstration on how DRS links related pieces of information-from both online and offline sources-to create context-based data relationships which cyber analyst can use to detect, analyze and react to complex security threats. The demonstration will conclude with a case study on how the technology, applied to a recent law enforcement ‘incident’, led to the identification and apprehension of a suspect all within a two hour time period.
Bivio Networks will also showcase its Continuous Threat Monitoring Solution, a multifunction, high-performance network monitoring probe, and its Network Content Control System (NCCS), a fully integrated traffic enforcement, Web filtering and threat prevention system for service providers (SPs), carriers, and government agencies.
West 2011, co-sponsored by AFCEA and the U.S. Naval Institute, is regarded as one of the largest events on the West Coast for communications, intelligence, information systems, military weapon systems, aviation, and more. The conference will feature exhibits from 400 technology leaders and discussions by leading military experts on topics related to national defense, including: defense budgets, unmanned systems, cyber warfare, and China.
Bivio Networks will be exhibiting in booth number 1020. For more information on about West 2011 and program updates visit http://www.westconfexpo.org.
